Building Apprentice Careers in Northern Ireland at the Creighton Hutchinson Academy

We’re delighted to welcome the newest group of apprentices joining the Creighton Hutchinson Academy.

Starting an apprenticeship is a big step. For many, it’s their first experience of working within a busy manufacturing environment, learning alongside experienced colleagues and beginning to build the skills that will shape their future careers.

At Hutchinson, apprenticeships have always been an important part of how we develop our people.

We know the manufacturing industry continues to face a challenge in attracting and developing the next generation of skilled people. We believe we have a responsibility to help address that by giving young people real opportunities to enter the industry, learn properly and see the breadth of apprentice careers in Northern Ireland available to them.

Through the Creighton Hutchinson Academy, apprentices combine their academic studies with hands-on experience across the business. They have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues, develop practical skills and gradually take on more responsibility as their confidence and knowledge grow.

The Academy carries the name of our founder, Creighton Hutchinson, and continues a principle that has been important to the business for generations: giving people an opportunity, investing in their development and helping them build rewarding careers.

For our newest apprentices, this is only the beginning.
