Hutchinson Engineering

Hutchinson About Us

Hutchinson Engineering is a medium sized family orientated business which was established in 1971 by Creighton Hutchinson, and has developed into one of Northern Ireland's leading Sub-Contract Laser cutting manufacturing companies.

Hutchinson Engineering was initially formed to serve the fabrication needs of the local agricultural community.  However when the downturn in the agricultural economy occurred, the company decided to diversify.

In 1999 Hutchinson's invested in their first laser machine, an Amada Beta was installed.  Following the success of this machine a second Trumpf Laser was purchased which allowed larger sheet size and faster cutting.

In 2009 the Adige LT8 Tube Laser was installed which allows up to 220x220mm Box to be cut and offers customers a huge saving in terms of time and money.

Hutchinson Engineering aims to be at the forefront of technology and has invested substantially in state of the art laser cutting, folding and welding machinery as well as relevant 2D and 3D CAD systems in order to maximise the hardware available.

This modern equipment is housed in a factory 25,000 square feet in Kilrea, Co Londonderry, Northern Ireland. The location is perfectly placed to serve customers throughout the UK and Ireland.
